The technology behind the stunning performance
In the VJ-1638UH, Mutoh introduced the latest generation variable drop plezo printheads to create a printer that could deliver outstanding print performance. Each 1440-nozzle head incorporates four colour sections, with 360 nozzles per colour, capable of producing ink drops ranging from 3.8 pl to 28 pl. Its powerful LED UV lamps are mercury and lead free, and the Mutoh LED UV inks contain no hazardous pollutants. This means that prints are ready for lamination immediately, and as the LED lamps don’t direct heat at the media, this printer can handle heat-sensitive substrates.

Maximise your creativity
The result is one of the most versatile printers on the market – at 64” wide, it can accommodate 1625mm rolls of up to 30kg, as well as rigid boards measuring 1625mm by 1200mm. This means you can use it to produce a wide range of high-quality graphics, including trade show graphics, POP and retail signage, backlit banners, custom wallcoverings and interior decoration, packaging prototypes, banners, posters and more.
