There’s a new version of Caldera’s award-winning RIP software – and with a whole raft of new and improved features, it’s well worth the upgrade. Promising more streamlined production, and greater scope for tailoring your workflow, you’ll save both time and money with a whole new Caldera printing experience.
What’s new in V13?
Caldera always has a clear vision for its products and makes the user experience the most important factor in driving each new development. V13 is no exception to this, and the changes you’ll see are all about creating a product that’s intuitive to use, while providing faster and more cost-effective printing.
• Print&Cut Mirror – this is a new feature for dye sub and backlit printing. Save up to 20% of prepress time as you can mirror print and cut data directly in the RIP.
• Tile Order – enables you to adapt the order in which you print tiles to achieve significant onsite time saving when you’re working on large tiling jobs, blueback and building wrapping. You can choose to start printing from one corner, put the order number in the filename before line and columns name, or even alternate the print direction.
• CalderaJobs Detailed View – the new fast search engine makes it easier and quicker to look at past jobs and keep track of your production.
• Custom Annotations – you can now customise the information you include in annotations rather than being tied to the legacy Caldera Standard or detailed information. The result saves space on media, while allowing for times when you can’t use a barcode or QR code.
• Alpha-to-Spot – by automatically converting transparent backgrounds behind images to spot channels, you’ll save up to 60% of prepress time.
• Adobe Textile Designer Integration – accurate textile print production now comes as standard. You can design with confidence as you’re assured accurate pattern repeatability, with precise and consistent colour management across all your devices.
• Faster downloads directly from CalderaDock – download new Light Installers, ICC profiles and printer drivers more quickly.
• Extended OS Support – V13 supports Linux Debian 9.5, with macOS Cataline 10.15 on the way.
• 2xCMYK PrintMode – this will optimize your 2xCMYK printer using finer screening and ink optimization on duplicated heads.
• Other improvements – CxF/4 delivers savings of up to 30% more than the previous version, and InkPerformer will also deliver 30% more savings with more vibrant colours.
